Privacy policy

This site is operated by Ben Énergie (Benjamin Fremiot). I am responsible for the personal information collected through this site.

For any question about the protection of your information, you can reach me at info@ben-energie.com.

I only collect the information you provide voluntarily:

• Contact form: your name, your email address and the content of your message.
• Newsletter: your email address.

Certain limited technical data (IP address) is processed temporarily for security purposes (anti-bot and anti-abuse protection of the forms). Cookies are described below.

• Respond to your requests sent via the contact form.
• Send you the newsletter, only if you subscribed to it.
• Protect the site against automated and abusive submissions.

I never use your information for resale, and I do not subscribe you to marketing communications without your explicit consent.

By writing to me via the contact form, you consent to my processing your message to reply to you. Newsletter subscription is based on a double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and your subscription is only active after your validation click.

You can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your rights” below).

I neither sell nor rent your information. To run the site, I rely on trusted processors that may process certain data on my behalf:

• Resend — sending emails (replies, confirmations).
• Brevo — contact and newsletter management.
• Cloudflare (Turnstile) — anti-bot protection of the forms.
• Upstash — limiting the number of submissions (anti-abuse).
• Vercel — site hosting.
• YouTube / Google — playback of embedded videos.

Some of these processors are located outside Québec (notably in the United States and Europe). Your information may therefore be transferred outside Québec, governed by those processors’ privacy policies.

This site uses strictly necessary cookies for its operation, as well as optional cookies (embedded content and, in the future, audience measurement) that are only set with your consent.

I don’t use a database on this site to store your information. Concretely:

• your contact messages reach me by email and are kept in my mailbox as long as necessary for follow-up, then deleted;
• your email address is kept in my contact-management tool until you unsubscribe or request its deletion;
• the technical security data (IP address, anti-abuse) is automatically erased after a short period.

You can request the deletion of your information at any time (see “Your rights”).

In accordance with Law 25 (Québec), you have the following rights:

• Access to the information I hold about you.
• Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Withdrawal of your consent and unsubscription from the newsletter.
• Deletion of your information, in the cases provided by law.

To exercise these rights, write to me at info@ben-energie.com. I will respond within the timeframes provided by law.

I implement reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorized access and disclosure (encrypted connections, restricted access, reputable processors).
